Changsha Xiang Embroidery City is situated in the economic and technological development zone of Changsha, Hunan. It is an industrial base integrating scientific research, production, wholesale and retail of the traditional industry of Xiang Embroidery City. Xiang Embroidery City has the traditional industry of two parts of ornaments and daily necessities. The ornaments give priority to Xiang Embroidery feature, you can find embroidered pictures, bifacial embroideries and striped embroidered screens, expertise and fine; the daily necessities include garments, scarves, slippers, bags and bedding over 100 varieties in more than 300 categories. These products are mainly produced for export with such destination countries as Korea, Japan, Spain, US, Canada, Hongkong, Macau, Taiwan, etc. It incorporates Hunan Longteng Clothing Adornments Co., Ltd. and Jinxia Xiang Embroidery Co., Ltd.
Hunan Feilong Clothing Adornments Co., Ltd. was established in 1994. Now it has a staff of 382, twenty of whom are specialized technical personnel and thirty-two are with university diploma or above. Under the company are three clothing factories Shunlong, Chuge and Jinzhen; and three independent subsidiaries have been set up, i.e. Zhuzhou Longteng, Shenzhen Jinmiqi and Shanghai Huabaolou. In addition, we innovated our concept and have extended our business to four counties with over 50 collection stations set up in them. Now there are more than 3,500 registered embroidery workers from the rural, which not only solves the problem of employment of surplus labor of the female in the countryside but also helps improve the living conditions of peasant households to a large extent.
